On Saturday it was time again: the steak dinner to Vienna! And this year, the weather was better, is saying the temperatures were above freezing.
Get out of the plane and into the welcoming city at first drink in one of the many Viennese coffee houses a coffee. Prolonged, Big Brown, Little Brown and Wiener Melange, not only because of the variety name of the specialty coffee amused Piefke.
then walk through town to the market, the Spittelberg and the Imperial Palace. Candied violets
The chips larger than the plate, but obviously not big enough, you think, if one sits in front of starving. After half of one is already good enough and if the plate is empty (and it is empty!) Thinks not intended to even more delicious food to the potatoes and ;-)
Voglersalat with the oil. Normally, yes things you never repeats as good as the first time, but We agree that the steak is even better than we had in memory.
then at St. Stephen to get bored and look in stone carved dignitaries, the ghostly gargoyles calories and replenishment at the Hotel Imperial.
And how do we know that the golden bronze statue of Strauss and Mozart and Beethoven - to see the back but all the same ;-)
