Hemochrmatosis Is Affective

The Cold War

The Cold War began in 1945 and went until 1990. The Western powers led by the United States and the Soviet bloc (term for the socialist-authoritarian group of states) under the leadership of the Soviet Union fought against each other. There was a iron curtain between the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR. So he separated East and west of each other.

The reasons for the Cold War was that after the 2nd World War II, the Allies over the future of Germany discussed. Result of this conference was the demilitarization, denazification, democratization and the unbundling of the industry.
But while the division of Germany, people realized that East and West had different interests. From the rivalry and the arms race (ie, when hostile parties against each other militarily upgrade) grew in the U.S. and the Soviet Union with the time of the Cold War.

When proxy war, the conflict is played by external powers, each with a specific page the parties support. So in this case east to west, for they were of different opinion.

Soviet policy under Mikhail Gorbachev called Sinatra Doctrine .
It allowed the Warsaw Pact countries and permitted their internal affairs to regulate sovereign.

In Brezhnev Doctrine means that the right derived from the limited sovereignty of socialist states. It is the doctrine of the Soviet state and party bosses.

The collapse of the USSR, the Cold War Today (2007) and thus ended, the world no longer divided into East and West and the former East Germany is now part of Germany.
